Sign-up walkthrough
The onboarding wizard takes about five minutes. You'll set the brand, drop a website link so the AI can learn your business, pick how the chatbot should behave, and connect at least one channel.
1. Create the account
Visit https://app.twinlix.com/signup:
- Email + password — minimum 8 characters.
- Business name — shown in customer-facing emails and on the chat widget.
- Browser timezone — captured automatically (TWIN-130). You can change it later in Settings → General → Localisation.
After submit you're signed in and your tenant exists in the database with all defaults sensible.
2. Step 1 — Business information
Drop your website URL. Twinlix fetches it and indexes the visible text into a knowledge base so the agent can answer questions about your business without you writing prompts.
Add company info: address, hours, contact email/phone. These appear in customer-facing emails too.
3. Step 2 — Brand voice
Pick a voice for the AI assistant: friendly / formal / playful. The model will keep that tone across every channel.
Add starter questions — the suggested replies that appear when a visitor opens the chat widget for the first time.
4. Step 3 — Knowledge base
Add structured content the AI should know:
- FAQ — typed Q/A pairs the bot can match against verbatim.
- Links — extra URLs to crawl beyond your homepage.
- Documents — upload PDFs / DOCX / TXT.
- Languages — comma-separated languages the bot should respond in. Out of list → polite "sorry, can't help in that language" reply.
5. Step 4 — Channels
Connect at least one:
- Web chat widget — copy the embed snippet and paste it on your site. Works on any host (WordPress, Webflow, plain HTML).
- Twilio phone number — buy a number self-service (see Twilio integration).
- Facebook page / Instagram account — OAuth flow connects your Meta business asset.
- WhatsApp — Meta-native Business Calling, currently in beta (see Meta integration).
6. Step 5 — Done
The dashboard lands at the CRM home. Your AI is live. Start a test conversation on the chat widget to see it work.
After signup
- Open Customers → see your first visitor turn into a customer record.
- Open Appointments → drag on the calendar to create a booking. The same calendar receives bookings the AI agent has made on your behalf.
- Open Setup → Localisation to set country / language / currency / phone prefix.
- Open Setup → Other → Account Information to add your phone and avatar to your own staff record.
